How much is it for a beer/cocktail on a Carnival Cruise ship?

Posted on March 2nd, 2010 by admin in carnival ship | 4 Comments »

how much does it cost to buy a beer at a bar on a Carnival Cruise Ship?

I think it cost somewhere between 5-7 dollars, on average. I’m not sure only because I never bought alcohol, but I did briefly look at what they charged and I’m fairly certain it’s in that range.

What is the largest ship for Carnival Cruise Lines?

Posted on February 28th, 2010 by admin in carnival ship | 1 Comment »

I want to know what is the largest ship carnival cruise line

In September it will be the Dream. As of what is sailing today that is the Splendor.

Carnival Splendor is 113,300 gross register tons (GRT), 952 ft long, has 13 decks, and holds 3,006 passengers with a crew of 1,150.

Carnival Dream will be 130,000 GRT, 1,004 ft long, 14 decks, and holds 3,652 passengers with a crew of 1,369. However even the Dream will not be as big as Royal’s Freedom or Oasis.

Has anyone been on the Carnival Pride ship lately?

Posted on February 26th, 2010 by admin in carnival ship | 3 Comments »

I am going on my first cruise April of 09. We are going on the Carnival Pride.. Our room is on the Upper Deck towards the rear. Is this a good location on the ship? I also have a six and a two year old, is the ship well equipped for young children?

Thanks for your time!

I’ve worked with Carnival for 5 years and worked on the Pride. I can’t remember what deck Upper Deck is … sorry! I think it was 6???? But it should be fine as all the lounges are on 2 & 3 so you shouldn’t hear any noise.

Camp Carnival is an award winning program, you’re kids will be fine! In fact, they probably will want to spend more time there than with you.

Carnival is gearing their ships/entertainment towards family fun rather than being the party boat/booze cruise.

Enjoy!

Are there sufficient teen activities on the new Carnival Destiny ship?

Posted on February 24th, 2010 by admin in carnival ship | 2 Comments »

In April I will be going on a five-day cruise on the new Carnival Destiny ship. I’ll be traveling with a school trip, and we’re all high school students. Are we going to be able to go out to dance and stuff, are there special teen sets at the spa? Specifically for that, how much will a spa day/halfday cost?

For 13- to 17-year olds, there’s a teen version of Camp Carnival, featuring a teen casino night, "coketail" parties, make-overs and fashion tips from the salon and photography workshops which have been added to enhance the teen program.

Carnival Destiny is the first of Carnival Cruise Lines’ five Destiny-class liners. This ship has some of the best nightlife at sea, with entertainment for every taste and age group. Carnival Destiny also boasts one of the largest casinos afloat and a spacious spa and fitness center. Guests will find a huge variety of entertainment and dining options, excellent food, spacious and comfortable cabins, friendly and professional service, and an exceptional value for the dollar.

Spa: A massage is typically around $90 – $110. Take advantage of ship discounts on port days. Most shipboard spas are operated by Steiner’s of London, and the staff, who works on commission, often gives you a sales pitch (they sometimes even call it a "prescription") that calls for you to buy several of their products.

Savings Tip: If you get a sales pitch and do not want the products, just smile and say you will think about it and get back to them. Or be bold right up front — and ask not to be bothered with sales pitches at all. Another tip: check your ship’s daily program of activities for ads for spa treatment specials that may be available one day only or during certain hours of a given day.

Which month is it better for us to go to Jamaica on a carnival cruise ship? Is February or April better to go?

Posted on February 21st, 2010 by admin in carnival ship | 5 Comments »

My family and I are planning on leaving from Miami, Florida to board a carnival cruise ship. Both dates meaning Feb 16th and April 20th fits into our schedule. The prices are about the same. Therefore I need help in figuring out what the weather is like during these months over there. Which month should we choose to go in?

February will probably end up being cheaper in the end, due to the way Carnival prices their cruises, i.e. by the number of cabins sold vs. the sailing date. Also, if you go in Frebruary you will avoid Spring Breakers, which is a good thing to do, especially in Jamaica which is a hot spot.

What is the best way to get from San Diego’s airport to the Carnival cruise ship terminal?

Posted on February 19th, 2010 by admin in carnival ship | 8 Comments »

I just booked a cruise out of San Diego on Carnival and am wondering if the $32 per person transfer fee available from Carnival is the best deal for me or if there are better options? There are 4 of us in our group and so transfers from Carnival would be $128! Looking on a map it doesn’t look like the airport is too far from the cruise ship terminal. I am thinking that a cab would be much more economical. Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
OK, thanks to all for your time to respond! Yahoo Answers is indeed a great thing to get information that you can count on as being honest, unbiased and accurate. Again, thanks to all!

You are absolutely correct, you could almost walk the two miles!
Considering your luggage, one way cab fare is $8, slightly more
for the four of you. Is not Yahoo Answers for Free great? – Jack
