For carnival cruise lines, Can the child or teem buy whatever they want with the cruise card?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in carnival lines | 3 Comments »

How old do they have to be anyway to have their own cruise card?

Everyone has to have their own card in order to get on and off the ship – they use it for ID purposes.

The card is used like a credit card or debit card. All of your purchases made onboard can be charged to a credit card, OR you can put money on the card and have a declining balance.

If you don’t want a child to be able to make any purchases, just ask them when they give you a card. Tell them that you don’t want a credit card linked to the card, nor do you want to put any money on the card. Then they will only be able to use the card to get on/off the ship.

You could just put a small amount of money on the card to let them buy souvenirs or something. If there’s a credit card or money on the card, they can buy anything (except for alcohol).

How do you unlock different course on the Wii game Carnival Mini Golf?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in carnival | 1 Comment »

I just got the Wii game Carnival Mini Golf, I can’t figure out how to unlock the other courses that are locked. I would really like to know how to do this!

Quoted on a gaming website:
"Unlocking the additional holes seems to occur after you complete a couple of holes on the unlocked ones. It doesn’t take more than an hour or so if you’re trying to unlock all of the courses, so it’s not something I would complain about too much."

So basically, just keep playing and winning and you’ll easily unlock more courses…

I am having a halloween carnival at my skool and who ever dresses the funniest costume wins. So what costumes ?

a frog

popcorn— get a big box, cut holes for the arms and head, put red duct tape for the stripes, glue those little foam things that come with fragile stuff all over the top of the box around the hole for the head, and spray paint it yellow.

gangster ping pong player.
wear low baggy shorts, and lots of ‘bling’ and gangster sunglasses, and a polo. then stick a ping pong paddle in your pants.

a big baby.

a girl…

hannah montanna

a princess

a fairy!!!

a chicken or rooster whatever.

a fortune cookie (idk how you would do that)

‘gift from god get in a box and make it look like a present then get a giant tag that says a gift from god. –or ‘a gift from the ladies’ —or something funny liek that

a gangster cow? that would make me crack up if a saw someone dresed liek that walking down the street….

i hope i helped…..good luck!

Can I still go on carnival rides?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in carnival rides | 2 Comments »

My ear is plugged beond belief. I’m going to the carnival tonight and a little while ago my ear was hurting but not anymore. So should I go on carnival rides?

Yes you can. It will not hurt you at all. Try holding your nose shut and blowing (your cheeks will puff up.) It should unplud your ears. You will be fine though…go ahead and have fun!

Can i take my two small dogs on a carnival cruise line?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in carnival cruise | 2 Comments »

Okay I am going on a cruise this summer with carnival cruise lines, and I have two small dogs that i want to take with me. Is it possible?

No. Not anymore. Back in the early 1900′s, like when the Titanic sailed, pet’s were common. However, back then taking a cruise was a method of relocation (e.g. England to New York). At a price of $75,000 (in today’s dollars) for a suite, it wasn’t money you threw away for one week of fun. And, if you could afford that, then the cruiseline wasn’t in a position to tell you that your pet was not welcome.

I’ve done a lot of cruises (modern day, I’m not THAT old) and have never seen a dog on the ship. Where would they go to the bathroom? Think of the major hassel it’d be to get the vacination clearance for each country visited. They might be allowed for the blind; but they’d still need the vacinations. And, they’d need a person of sight to clean up after them. If you’re asking on behalf of a blind person, then I’d recommend calling the cruiseline.

Does anyone know what the funnest Carnival Cruise ship is?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in carnival ship | 8 Comments »

I am from Australia and was told Carnival Cruises are the best cruises to do to see the Carribean, has anyone ever been on one or know of the name of one thats really worth doing? I know that they have over 20 ships, but we want something fun with a lot of activities happening on board. ( Carnival Valor sounds awesome)Cheers maties

EXCELLENT IDEA, going with Carnival!!!! I went on the Valor this past summer, it was amazing. The perfect trip!! The Valor is only 3 years old so its condition is top notch. The food was delicious, the crew were very friendly and just the overall atmosphere of the cruise was great!
I was on Riviera deck, the lowest one. We were right side near the back. My father was the only one who felt sea sick, but not badly. I’ve heard its best to be bottom middle to avoid sea sickness. Some people we met on the cruise were on the 6th floor, Upper Deck which is above Promenade. Promenade is where alot of the nightclubs and bars etc are and they found it noisy at night. Though far away from everything the Riviera deck was quiet and closer to the exit when you got off the ship at the ports.

The ports were all really beautiful. There isn’t really a lot you can walk to on these islands, cabs are necessary.

In St Thomas we took a cab into the main town area where they have the jewelry stores etc. We took a tour/ trip to the beach. Just a guy from St Thomas had a large open taxi car and he took us around the island. giving us a short tour. After the tour he took us to a beach (where we stayed for 2 hours then he came back to pick us up), there were 3 which you could choose from Magens Bay, Sapphire and Coki point. Magens bay is a popular beach, usually crowded, when it does rain on St Thomas the rain usually hits Magens bay. There is a small entrance fee to get onto the beach, $3 adults $1 for children. The snorkeling at Magens is poor. There are restrooms and showers as well as lifeguards, food and a gift shop.

Then there is Sapphire beach, the one we chose. It was the perfect beach, we enjoyed it very much. Its not a huge, but they do have good snorkeling at the reef at the end of the beach. There are some really neat tropical fish and my mom saw a turtle! There are also Iguanas behind the beach area, but they won’t bother you. Sapphire also has restrooms and a shower as well as a restaurant close by.

Then Coki point, which I do not know much about, but I was told they have great snorkeling. You can find more info on these beaches such search in google. I wouldn’t call this an excursion but it gave us a chance to see the island and spend a few hours on a beautiful beach. It cost us $25 a person. There were 5 of us, but he let the 5 year old go for free.

Hope that was some help for St Thomas. Of the three islands we stopped at on our cruise St Thomas was by far my favorite. The people living on the island are very friendly!

St Martin has a french and dutch side. The cruise ship docks in Philipsburg, on the dutch side . In St Martin, you have to take a water taxi or taxi to get anywhere, from what I remember there is not much just off the ship. So we took a water taxi over to the main shopping area. It was around $5 a person and if you got a pink wrist band you could come and go on the water taxi as many times as you want throughout the day. Again there are all the jewelry shops. So from there we took a cap to a beach on the french side, called Orient Bay. It is 2 miles long, but be aware it is a clothing optional beach, BUT the nude part is at one of the ends of the beach, so there are not nude people all over the beach. We did see 1 or 2 topless women walk by, but not a huge worry. Orient beach was beautiful but not calm due to numerous water sports going on. Jet skis etc. The snorkeling was not bad. There were washrooms and showers also.
Again not really an excursion, but we didn’t want to pay a huge amount of money for an excursion booked through the cruise so we did out own thing. I would get some info on other beaches on St Martin. A few other things about Orient beach I forgot to add above is that there are quite a few vender’s that walk the beach selling necklaces etc, but they are not overly pushy. It is much quieter in the morning, but as the day went on it became quite busy.

Nassau, Bahamas. I had always wanted to go the Bahamas, mainly because I wanted to go to Atlantis. The stop in Nassau is short, only 7am to 2pm. Doesn’t give you a whole lot of time. We just took a cab to the beach.
If you are interested in going to Paradise Island, where Atlantis is located there is a fee to get onto the island. I believe the cruise does have an excursion to Paradise Island, but its expensive.

I don’t have alot of info on shore excursions, we just enjoyed days at the beach. I’m sure they are fun, just alot of money.

Overall I would chose this cruise! You won’t be disappointed. Hope I was of some help, enjoy the Caribbean!

Whats the difference between the carnival cruise or the Pacific sun cruises or is it the samr thing.?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in carnival cruises | 2 Comments »

My hysband and I are going on the Pacific sun on Nov 10th to New caledonia,Fiji and Loyalty Islands, For 13 Nights,Could anyone please tell me abit about the cruise or Islands as this is our First Holioday together we have been married for 7years didnt have a honeymoon, so this will be the one we missed out on,We also have 3 children which we will not be taken, some people have told me that i am game going, so i dont no what to think i am a little scared of not knowing what the cruise is going to be like and also leaveing my children,is it true that there is a lot what happens on cruise but it all gets kept as a secret,i wouldnt want anythink to happen to my husband and i and are children are left with no parents,So please could i have honnest and serious Answers, thank you for taking the time to read my Question, :)

I live in Florida, I say this only to show the close proximity to the ports, and that it is my family vacation as well as the vacation of chose of most of my friends, some of who have been on over 10 cruises and one goes every 4 months (wish i could join them)

I am leaving in 5 days for our next cruise too with no worries and we are taking our children too. It is perfectly safe. the odd of anything happening are greater in your car or on a plane than on the ship.

and as far as the "game going" let them think what they want, we don’t drink or gamble in away shape or form and we had the time of our lives.

there is lots to do or nothing to do whatever you prefer. I like a little of both. I also recommend the dinning room every night, we were suggested this our first cruise and were very grateful.

and relax, and enjoy the vacation.

Oh and the difference in the ship lines is not a lot most just have a preference. I like Carnival, a friend likes Royal Caribbean, and another uses a different line every time. so go whit what you want but Carnival can be cheaper and once you go with one they will give you perks the next time too.

can someone please give me a few websites where I can learn about the Brazilian holiday Carnival? Thank you!?

What exactly are the differences between fairs, circus’s, and carnivals?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in carnivals | 2 Comments »

I’ve never really gotten what the differences are…

Btw, I’ve only gone to a fair before.

A fair is usually a giant event…there are lots of contests and prizes, tons of shows, rides, and things to eat.

A carnival is usually a very small version of a fair…minus the contests and big events. It is mostly just rides and food.

A circus is usually a traveling group…they have few rides but have tons of acts that include circus animals and acrobats. There is also food and lots of clowns.
(btw never go to a circus…they’re incredibly cruel to their animals and abuse them on a regular basis).
